Kavitta Ghai, Nectir

Most education systems are designed for the student who already knows how to navigate them.

Kavitta Ghai built Nectir for everyone else.

Growing up with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, she experienced how difficult it can be to access support in traditional academic environments. Help is scheduled, delayed, and often inconsistent. The friction is not always obvious, but it adds up quickly.

Nectir removes that friction.

The platform places AI assistants directly inside a school’s existing systems, trained on real course materials and available at any time. It is not a generic tool. It is designed to meet students in the moment they need help, without requiring them to ask in a specific way.

The results are already visible. A peer reviewed study at Los Angeles Pacific University showed a 7.5 percent increase in campus wide GPA. Students report higher engagement and faster access to answers.

Nectir now supports over 80,000 students across more than 100 institutions, including Stanford and the California Community College system, where it has been deployed at scale.

Ghai is not building for the students who are already succeeding. She is building for the ones the system was never designed to support.
